President & CEO: Marc Askenasi
Marc Askenasi was the founder, President, and CEO of Function Mobile, an innovative mobile gaming solutions provider with past operations in both North and Latin America. Founded in 2007, Mr. Askenasi led the development, launch, and strategic direction of Function Mobile’s robust gaming platform. In 2009, Mr. Askenasi orchestrated a successful exit for Function Mobile’s investors via acquisition. Also in 2009, Mr. Askenasi founded Baron Group Ventures, a corporation setup to innovate and provide support to a variety of projects he was involved in with a strong focus on the technology sector. In 2010, Mr. Askenasi led all innovation, branding, and product development initiatives for Vital Hub, a technology healthcare company, created in partnership with Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, that provides healthcare professionals more efficient access to patient information via mobile applications. Mr. Askenasi graduated with honours from McGill University, where he focused on industrial relations; management, economics and sociology.
VP Products: Giancarlo De Lio
Giancarlo De Lio has past experience in the health, computer software, and information technology industries. Most recently he was a co-founder and led the product development team at Vital Hub, where he was responsible for the creation of all applications across several web and mobile platforms. Mr. De Lio was also recently the Manager of Innovation and Prototype Development at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto where he was responsible for exploring new applications for mobile devices to improve the overall clinician and patient experience. In 2010, Mr. De Lio was featured in Apple’s iPhone in Business case study for his leading role in developing the Vital Hub application. Mr. De Lio holds a MBA from the Rotman School of Management and a Bachelor of Computer Science from the University of Toronto, as well as graduate degrees in Health Informatics and Computer Animation.
VP Marketing & Business Development: Jennifer Steckel Elliot
Ms. Steckel Elliott, MBA, Rotman School of Management ’99, has 20 years of marketing, advertising and corporate strategy experience with a specialization in helping companies grow through a balanced focus on art and commerce. Her experience includes time spent both client side and service side with top brands such as the Gap, Ogilvy & Mather, IBM, Target, Best Buy, Golf Town, Fit For Sport UK, and Danier.

Carrie Weiler has over 20 years of experience in public company management. She provides corporate secretarial services to five public companies listed in the United States and Canada. Ms. Weiler is a member of the Canadian Society of Corporate Secretaries.
